I just purchased a new control panel for my maytag dishwasher: Part # PD00023977 White. It arrived. I installed it. Doesn't work. I can't reset it. None of the button light up. What I did. Turned off the breaker to the dishwasher for an hour. Turned the breaker back on. Tried resetting according to the directions included in the bottom of the Maytag. With the door open I press Start to wake up the control panel. I then press any three keys in the sequence 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3 with no more than 1 second between key presses. Nothing. Normally all the wash cycle lights would light up and then I would close the door to let the cycles reset. I then tried HI-TEMP - HEATED DRY - HI-TEMP - HEATED DRY. Sill nothing. I then used a multi-meter to test the resistance of fuse F. It was < 3 ohms which means the fuse is ok. The only think I can surmise is the part is a dud.
