Whirlpool Washing machine issue

Hello!

Recently our washing machine started doing this:

-I put in a load and start a cycle (happens to any cycle)
-It starts to fill with water and appears to be doing its thing normally
-It stops and begins beeping.
-The “Wash” light flashes.
-Nothing will happen until we hit the “power” button.
-The beeping stops and after a couple minutes the washing machine turns off completely.

I cleaned out the filter and hose hoping maybe a clog was causing it stop mid cycle but that didn’t solve it. I first noticed this happening after doing a rather large load of towels. Since then it happens every time. Any ideas what the cause is or solution?

So all that is noticeable is the wash light blinking and the beeps? Does the unit still drain properly? And does the lid lock engage (can you hear it click and/or engage?)
