I have a kenmore 400 series electric dryer that is not heating. I have tested so far the heating element which appears to be ok and the high limit thermostat i believe which also seems ok but when i shake it, it rattles what else should i check.
It is normal for the high limit thermostat to rattle when you shake it. I will need to get the model number from your dryer to help you out more with this.
Can someonr please help me?

It heats on timed dry but not auto sensing? How can i fix this?

Even then I may not be able to find a wiring diagram for it

You may want to look in the unit's control console. It is often stored there.
My guess is that the timer contacts in the auto section are shot but it would be nice to confirm this with a meter before replacing the timer.
