Freezer door doesn't register as shut unless you slam it really hard

I know the problem is in the wiring in the upper hinge but not sure which part to order. I spoke to a sales associate and he sent me the wrong part. I think I just need the little wire with plastic connector on one end and another plastic end that snaps into the hinge cover. Any insights? Freezer and icemaker work fine, but if the door is not registered as closed, we cannot dispense ice or water. It confuses our guests and we do a lot of slamming and it is taking it toll on the family dog.

I am not sure. Does that switch control the light in the freezer (which works just fine) or does it control the water and ice dispenser?

I thought from your original post that you knew what part was need but just could not find it.
I am not sure exactly what this reed switch controls.
