It could be an issue with the water flow into the machine.
Check out your water inlet hoses & make sure they're not clogged or knotted up.
Just in case, also check out the screens on the washer...

Ha! Sounds like you have a Samsung problem! This brand is notoriously and awesomely bad. Any repair that approaches $500+ forget about the unit because, you're just going to get hit with another $600...
Try the water valve first. You would be surprised how expensive it is to replace the entire icemaker especially, if you have a newer refrigerator.

Is your unit in the garage? Get a meter reader and start with the thermistor and blower wheel then work your way to the control board.

Does it sound like it is off-balance? It may also be a belt?
It might be a sensor or even a control arm since its an older model. That's rare for a Samsung refrigerator btw.

It may be your micro switch or a stuck button on the control board itself? Just in case try finagling the control arm to your ice maker. The feeler arm may not be catching as well.
