    Frigidaire Washer E47 Error Code

Is your Frigidaire front load washer agitating but not going through the spin cycle? A common cause of this is a failed door latch assembly. This will register an E47 error code in the computer, to check for this hold down the start and pause/cancel keys simultaneously for 5 seconds. If you receive an E47 error code you will need to check the PTC on the door latch assembly, the "board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin". Remove the door latch assembly and measure the resistance of the PTC, it should be around 1500 ohms. If its much lower than that it needs to be replaced.

This is the PTC. Measure the resistance between the two terminals.

Most NEW door latch PTC's that I measure usually read higher than 1500 ohm's, this particular one I measured was 1750 ohms.

We had recently been receiving the E47 error code from our Frigidaire washer (not completing/conducting final spin cycle) and per the video on "how to test the door lock", verified that the resistance reading of the door switch was low at 1280 ohms. We ordered the new switch from PartsDr and received it yesterday. After installing the new switch the washer has worked fine for 4 loads of laundry. The only issue is that the resistance of the new switch measured very high at 3410 ohms. (Per the video, 1600-1750 ohms is expected on a new switch.) Is there cause for concern?

I joined this forum expecting that feedback for "Appliance Repair Help" would include feedback from PartsDr technicians. Clearly there is no longer anyone from PartsDr monitoring this forum. If like me, you are looking for their feedback, contact them directly, don't waste your time joining this forum.
