    Model Number: GU2400XTPT1

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher, we ran it last night and it worked ok and we went to start it again today and the clean light just blinks. Can you help me?

The clean light blinking indicates the dishwasher detected a problem with something. How many times does the clean light blink in a row before there is a pause?

The clean light blinking 7 times indicates a water heating fault. Which means the computer sensed that the water inside the dishwasher didn't reach a certain temperature within a certain amount of time. There are quite a few different things that can cause this issue.

This is what I have seen cause this problem:

    Bad heating element
    Bad control board
Bad temperature thermistor (sends water temp reading back to the control board)
Dishwasher not filling up with enough water (bad water inlet valve or bad plumbing to dishwasher)
Bad pump that circulates the water

Grab the service sheet which is behind the bottom panel of the dishwasher. This will give you some more information about the dishwasher. Once you have determined the problem and fixed the dishwasher you will need to clear the code. To do that follow the instructions in the service sheet, you will need to put it into service mode. It usually has you press two buttons back and forth a few times (heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash) or something similar to that.

Let us know what you find.

I made some checks on it yesterday, and it looks like my heating element is bad.
