GE Profile Refrigerator not cooling or freezing.

    Model Number: pfcs1nfwa
    Brand: GE
    Age: 1-5 years

The Refrigerator and freezer compartments both not cooling. The fan, lights and temp controls are working. The compressor is not turning on. We tested the thermistors by putting them in ice cold water. They seem fine. How to tell if its a bad board or bad compressor?

    Please help.

Your refrigerator is similar to Martin21's thread here, except your model uses a variable speed compressor which makes diagnosing the problem much harder. Are you seeing any cooling at all, or are they both at room temperature?
