My LG dryer wouldn't start and after replacing the motor I found that the main circuit board relay was fried. I ordered the replacement main board, part number EBR33640902, which seems to be an updated part from the old one because the one relay is in a different location. After plugging it in I noticed that the starting tone is different from the old one as well.
But now here is the new problem I have. The main power button works perfectly and you get the starting chime every time. The rest of the buttons although are sporadically non functioning, the dial doesnt work and none of the lights turn on. If I turn it on and off enough I can get the buttons to start to respond and the dryer to turn on and run a full dry cycle, but there are no lights and no display. I swapped the old board back in and everything works but it won't start because of the relay. I have now exchanged the new board for two different boards from the company that I got it from but all of them are acting the same. Kind of getting frustrated and wondering if anyone has seen this before?
