Whirlpool Duet Washer with Water left beneath curtain

Yesterday I pulled the curtain back to wipe up, as I usually do, and there was water sitting there. I mean towel-fuls of water. Maybe a cup, maybe a bit more. I mopped it up, wiped up, and tried to see if there was anything obviously wrong. I didn't see anything. It is happening after every load I run, even the cleaning cycle I ran with the Tide cleaner for HE washers.

It happened once before a few months ago, but I just wiped it up and it didn't happen again, until now.


Any advice on what to check? What could be causing this?

By curtain are you referring to the rubber door seal at the front of the washer?

Yes.

I feel silly, but we figured out it was just the build up from our very hard water. The washer cleaner doesn't clean that out, and wiping and cleaning the curtain doesn't do anything if the problem is further down the drain. :/

I was afraid it was a parts problem, but luckily just hard water.
