lights come on but won't start

Intermittent problem the D/W sometimes it will start and then next time
it won't start ,the lights come on when pushed. BTW I can only hear 1 click when closing door, I read that might be a problem. Thanks for any help, Oldskool

With the power to the dishwasher turned off, I would start by taking the door apart and inspecting the door latch assembly and switches.
