    GE Profile Arctica Knocking noise

    Model Number: PSS25SGMDBS
    Brand: GE
    Age: 6-10 years

Our GE Profile refrigerator was making a knocking noise every several minutes. We received a Dampner from Parts Dr and replaced that which is in the TOP back of the fridge. It is still making the same noise but it sounds like it is in the bottom part of the fridge behind the fresh food bin. I can not find out what this part might be or part number to order. Please advise.

Please see the attached diagram below. In the lower part of the refrigerator section is another cooling system, it is probably coming from something inside there.

Thank You Ryan! Would you happen to know what the part number is to order this cooling system? If that is the part number on the diagram it is very blurry and I am unable to enlarge it to read it.

They do not sell the whole unit as an assembly, you have to find what has failed and replace those components. If you can let me now which numbers next to the parts you need, I can look them up for you.

Ryan - my husband says on the diagram it is #924. This number was on the part when he looked at it NTPC001RA1 but we can not find where we can order this part or if that is a part number.

#924 on the diagram is the damper supply assembly (part# PD00001599 mfg #WR60X10062), you can click the link below.

I also have a knocking sound that comes every few min for a while and then not at all for hours. I want to be sure to replace the correct part. Is it the damper assembly or the damper supply assembly that should be replaced? Thanks!
