Replace control panel/touchpad or control board?

    Model Number: KUDS02FRBL1
    Brand: KitchenAid
    Age: 6-10 years

KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDS02FRBL1 - Symptoms: Control Panel Display at times completely dark; other times you can select the "Normal" cycle touch button, but cannot deactivate "Heat Dry" (Lock) touch button; and other times dishwasher runs just fine. Not sure if I should replace Control Board (W10084141), Control Panel & TouchPad (8574143), or both? Thanks - Jerry

    Jerry,

I attached the manufactures procedure for testing the touch keypad below. From our experience these tests are not always conclusive on what part is bad. If you don't find the failure, we recommend to start by replacing the touchpad first and then the control board if the problem still persists. Let me know what you find.

These are the parts for your model dishwasher:

    Control Panel - 8574143

    Main Control Board - W10084141
