    Whirlpool HE dryer parts

    Model Number: WED9400SU0
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

    Dryer quit heating. Upon disassembly, verified heating element is defective. Please advise as to all parts to replace during repair. Please list part numbers and links for listed model. Thanks!

    If the heating element is the only part that is bad, then you can usually just fix the problem by replacing the element. We also recommend to check the venting and dryer for any airflow restrictions or lint build up. In some cases when the element fails it can short out to ground and cause other parts to fail. When this happens it can burn out the high limit thermal fuse and thermostat, blower thermal fuse, and/or control board. You can test the fuses and thermostats by unplugging the dryer and removing them from the dryer and testing them for continuity. If they do not have continuity then they are bad.
