Samsung dryer not heating - burnt relay

Newbie here - I have a Samsung dryer that stopped heating. I did some research and tested the heating element and related thermostats and all checked out. I then pulled the cover to the PCB and found the black wire going to what I believe is the relay, melted as well as the terminal. Looking for what might have caused and the proper way to repair.

Before working on the dryer make sure it is unplugged. To fix this you will need to replace the control board, and fix the burned wiring. Fixing the wiring will involve cutting back the wiring until the melted and burned copper is gone. You will have to splice a new wire in its place making sure to use the same gauge and temperature rating of wiring. Make sure the connections are all done very well. I would also recommend to check that the heating element is not shorted to ground. If the heating element shorted it could have caused this type of problem, or sometimes it just happens from a bad control board. Let me know how the repair goes.
