[FIXED] Dryer comes on, but won't start

    Model Number: WED6600VWO
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

My dryer started acting up a couple of weeks ago, it would just go to sensing, so I replaced the thermal fuse, and that worked for a few times, but now it just lights up and when I push the start button, it feels like it is not working, and nothing happens, not even sensing. I checked the fuse again, and when i wire it direct it still does nothing. Thanks for any help.

There are two thermal fuses on this dryer, one next to the blower and one above the heating element. Did you check both of them? Which fuse was blowing at first?

The one next to the blower. I did not check both of them, where is the other one?

On the heater box above the heating element on the left side.

Ok, sorry to leave you hanging. We tried the high limit thermostat and the thermistor, still felt like the start button would not engage. Ended up being the plastic part that pushes the start button was broken. So now it works and I guess one of those other parts was not working as well as it should have been, because now it does dry faster. Thanks for Your help.
