    Thermistor keeps going bad

    Model Number: GGW9200LW1
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 6-10 years

Dryer runs fine but no heat. I metered all major parts for continuity and the Thermistor was bad. I completely cleaned all parts and exhaust. I changed the Thermistor and it fired right up. Ran one cycle and everything worked fine. I put in second load in and no heat again. Checked the Thermistor and no continuity. I watched the first load and everything seemed to be working fine. The heat was cycling on and off like its suppose too, never got to hot. What could be the issue? Could something be blowing out the Thermistor.

The thermistor is not a part that can be checked for continuity. It has to be tested with an ohm meter for a specific resistance at a specific temperature. With the thermistor pulled out of the dryer, it should read approximately 11.9K Ohms at 70°F and 9.2K Ohms at 80°F.
