    whirlpool F33 error code

    Model Number: GHW9400PL2
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

question my machine is giving me an error code F33, I replace the drain pump assembly, but I still am getting the same code. I look at the code explanation and it gives me 2 possible explanation 1. it could be the pressure switch hose or 2 it can be a crack in the tube, I visually check for any cracks and found none. question how do I confirm it is the pressure switch hose and is there a site I can see a demonstration of it.

Is the washer fill up with water?

F33 Error Code - SYSTEM LEAK
If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. OR If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow sensor has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

    Possible Causes/Procedure
    1. Check for crack or holes in the washer tub and pressure switch hose.
    2. Replace components if necessary.

There are a few different things that could cause this type of a problem. To check the pressure switch hose you can just do a visual inspection and we also recommend to blow through it to make sure it isn't clogged anywhere. If that is good then the problem could be from a failed pressure switch or a bad flow meter. Both of these parts work together to make sure the washer fills to the proper water level. I attached a diagram with what contact points you can use the test the pressure switch at different water levels. Let me know what you find.
