    Unhappy replaced thermal fuse & dryer still won't start

    Model Number: wed8300sw0
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

    I replaced the thermal fuse & checked the circuts best I could w/o an ohm meter. Dryer still won't start. the door light doesn't even come ome! HELP!

    If the light inside the dryer isn't coming on, then that usually means that you don't have power coming into the dryer. You can check the power at the outlet with a voltmeter, you should get 220-240 volts between each of the hot sides. With the dryer unplugged, I would also check the terminal block (where the power cord attaches to the dryer) and make sure you don't have any burnt off wires in that area.
