Kenmore door latch

So my sister has the above and believes that her latch is broken. It's not locking and it feels as if the handle used has no tension. I'm guessing the spring has either given up or some plastic piece has broken internally. In my searching, I believe that the correct part is 8193830. are there any other parts needed? micro switch perhaps? Just want to check before I send her to purchase. Thanks!

Have you checked the door strike to make sure that it didn't get bent or broken?
