    Whirlpool Washer Error F6E2 & F6E1

    Model Number: WFW94HEXW
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

Error codes are showing up. I've tried to run quick diagnostic test, but washer wont go past C02 on the test.
New MCU or CCU needed? Should water drain from tub after C02 test?
Thanks for any help or suggestions!

F6E1 - COMMUNICATION ERROR BETWEEN CCU AND MCU

F6E2 - COMMUNICATION ERROR UI TO CCU

These error codes are very difficult to diagnose. It can come from something simple like a grounding switch not being pressed in because you are running the washing with one of the panels removed, or it can be something serious like a wiring problem, or bad control board(s). Have you checked to make sure all of the connections to the control boards are good?

If the washer won't advance past the C02, then it won't get to C07 when it drain out the water.

if the tub never turns : you should be able to check the 2 pink wires for 120VAC when the door lock is engaged. you should also get 3VDC from pin 1-2 and 5VDC from 1-3 (might have that backward but if your getting 3 and 5 your getting signal). If that checks good you have a bad Motor Control unit (inverter board). most likely a bad rectifier on that board and subsequently some blown traces. I replaced the rectifier on mine and used soldier to bridge the blown traces Click image for larger version.

if the tub turns then stops check the pump for 120VAC (if voltage but no running pump check if for a jam then replace)
