    GE profile washer

    Model Number:
    Brand: GE
    Age: 1-5 years

My washer occasionally displays the e4 code and stops the wash cycle with a tub full of water. It happens sporadically, how should I address this?

The E4 error code on your model washer is an inlet valve failure. Does washer seem to fill up with hot and cold water at a steady rate?

yes it appears that it fills at a steady rate. when it happens it's always during the fill for the final rinse. I then power off the machine to clear the code and run the load on a rinse cycle and everything is fine.

Doc upon further analysis, the fill rate varies from a trickle to a steady stream even during the same fill cycle. When the code flashes the fill never goes faster than a trickle.

Doc I'm finally getting ready to complete this project but your website states that this product has been discontinued.

I'm sorry, we are not currently selling GE parts at this time. You will need to purchase the part from a different GE parts dealer.
