All of a sudden the icemaker dumped about a pint of water on the floor. Opened up the freezer door and removed the ice bin (maker and bin in the door) and turned off the ice maker. Saw another cup of water in the chute -- was able to empty it. Let everything thaw. Haven't checked back yet, this was just this morning.
Do I need a service call or can I repair this myself? I have fixed a number of appliances over the years (new circuit boards in fridges, elements in dishwasher, new magnatron in microwave).
Funny thing is the ice was dispensing just fine an hour before.
All suggestions welcome!
