Post Can not open the cabinet top

    Model Number: wtw6600sb3
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

I have very noisy tub in a whirlpool cabrio. I have ordered and received the parts but have been unable to open the top of the cabinet. Online video shows using a putty knife to release the latch, I have been unable to get these to release. Any help?

Please see the attached image below. Using a putty knife to depress the front top locks is usually the easiest way to do it. They can be kind of tricky, sometimes it helps to do one side first and then the other.

I have been unable to release the latches on either side of the cabinet using the attached picture method or other web sites that show using a putty knife to release the latch. Has anyone else had this experience? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you feel the locks depress when you push them in with the putty knife?

Thanks Doc Ryan. I do get some movement but apparently not enough to release the top. Don't think their is much else you can do for me remotely but thanks much for your advice.
