Kenmore 800 with auto water shut off sensor

    Model Number: 800
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: 1-5 years

My Kenmore 800 washer with auto sensor is not cutting the water off causing my tub to run over and it does not stop running when the lid is opened. What do you think the problem could be? The washer is kept in a cold utility room and the tub froze up recently during freezing weather.

It sounds like when the tub froze, it might have plugged up the hose that goes to the sensor switch. Check to see that that hose is free of obstructions.
