    Samsung dryer will not heat

    Model Number: DV338AEW/XAA
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

The dryer will tumble but not heat. I have checked the fuse to ensure getting 220v. I suspect it is the heating element but hard to believe it quit already, the dryer is 4 1/2 years old.
When I replace the heating element I have several questions to avoid having to make multiple repairs:
    1) replace the heating element should I buy the complete heating assembly or just the heating coil?
    2) replace thermostats?
    3) replace thermistor?

You will need an ohm meter to make some continuity checks on the dryer to determine what is wrong. If the heating element is bad, we recommend to replace the heating element assembly. For the little bit extra in cost, you get both of the thermostats which is well worth the price difference.
