[FIXED] GE washer fabric softener dispenser

The fabric softener dispenser on my front loader does not dispense any more. The bleach dispenser still works. We tried cleaning out the dispenser drawer but no luck. Any advice?

You will want to check to make sure you have hot and cold water both entering the washer. If everything is clean, then you will want to check to see if the dispenser motor on top of the dispenser assembly is turning correctly.

I searched online for the model I have and there is no listing for motor, belt or pump. We will check the hot water tomorrow

Just wanted to thank you for your help. We checked the hot and cold water which worked. Couldn't find the dispenser motor, but I did look above the dispenser with a lighted mirror and couldn't believe the black gunk there. I cleaned the holes with toothpicks and vinegar and now the dispenser is working again.
