Flashing Control Panel when entering Dry Cycle

    Model Number: PLD3460RDC0
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

I just replaced the heating element because the control panel lights were flashing almost as soon as I started the dishwasher. I tested the resistance first to confirm the heating element was indeed bad.

After replacing the heating element, the dishwasher ran through each cycle then stopped at the dry cycle - same flashing control panel lights. I re-ran using the no heat dry setting to see if that made any difference. It did not. Now I'm simply perplexed because I thought it may be a thermostat issue - which it could be - but, I would think not if it still behaves the same way when entering a no heat dry cycle.

I ran the diagnostic cycle and it threw the error code (flashing lights on panel - no specific code) when it hit step 3 (wash heat). It referenced monitoring the Hall Sensor.

Incidentally, this is the second repair on this dishwasher and it is not too terribly old. I will never buy a Frigidaire appliance - NOT IMPRESSED.

The lights in the center of the control panel on the front. ER, washing, sensing, drying, lo, that whole panel flashes. That occurs at the beginning of the dry cycle, as well as step 3 of diagnostics.

The way the dishwasher is acting is not normal. There are a few possibilities that could cause it to act this way, you could have a bad control board, bad touchpad, another bad part could be bad causing the control board/touchpad/display to act up, or you could have a short in the wiring or wiring problem.
