Whirlpool duet sport washer still fills up after new inletvalve

I recently noticed the tub filling up when shut off so i got online checked fourms and found
What i thought to be a bad water inletvalve so i replaced it and just my luck it didnt fix it so
My question is how is this happening

Does the washer fill up with water even if the washer is unplugged? Did you replace the water inlet valve with a new OEM part?

Yes it was oem part , to rule out a defective new part i shut both hot and cold off overnite and it filled up again so im leaning toward a siphoning issue not sure how or why since my air gap is like a foot higher then my standoff pipe and free flowing .
