Icemaker water continues to run

Everything working normal since purchase then all of sudden water fill for icemaker would not shut off...ran continuously filling drawers and overflowing onto floor before we could get water cut off...changed water filter on regular basis.

What to do?

It sounds like you may have a bad water inlet valve. The next step would be to unplug the refrigerator to see if the water continues to leak with no power going to the refrigerator. If the valve continues to leak then the water valve is bad and it will need to be replaced. I will need to get the BOM name from the model and serial number tag on the refrigerator to look up the water valve.

Is this an easy valve to get to? I am somewhat mechanical and have worked on my washer and dryer and dishwasher...fear is the hand scraped hardwood floor in kitchen that is already wanting to warp due to initial leak

Can you please get me the BOM name, it should be on the same tag as the model and serial number. It looks similar to the model number with a few more digits at the end of it.
