The back of my dryer looks just like this one in the video of changing the heating element. I replaced the broken heating element. There are ONLY TWO RED WIRES going onto the thermostat that connects to the lower part of the heating element, one to the top and one to the lower bottom right prong. I see another smaller prong with nothing connecting to it. On some other videos and pictures, people talk about a jumper wire going there and then onto that left lower prong that is connected to the top part of the thermostat. SO, do I just not need the jumper wire or what??? Also the dryer is running hotter than normal. I noticed the red wire looking like it got too hot and slightly melted the red plastic covering right by the connection sleeve, so I just now wrapped it in electrical tape.
