Whirlpool Duet F35 & SUDS error codes

    Model Number: WFW9500TW00
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

When we try to start the cycle on our Duet steam washer it will run for a few minutes, and then it will first come up with a "suds" error code and then after that it come ups with a F35 error code. I tried unplugging the washer and that didn't make any difference. What do these codes mean? What can I do to fix it?

Those two error codes are usually an indication that the pressure sensor switch has failed. With the washer unplugged, you should first check to make sure the hose going to the pressure sensor switch is not kinked, clogged, broken, and it is connected properly on both ends. You should also remove the hose from the sensor and blow through it to make sure there are not any restrictions. Check the wire connections to the sensor at the sensor and main control board. If everything looks ok, then the next thing is to replace the pressure sensor switch.

This is the pressure sensor switch for your washer:

I am having the same issues and tried to do this but couldn't disconnect the hose. Do I just pull down hard on the hose? Are there tabs that need to be pressed to disconnect it? Any advice would be helpful. Thx.

Usually twisting the hose is the easiest way to break it free. After that you can pull down to remove it.
