First you will need to unplug the stove and test the bake element for continuity. If the bake element is good, then you could have a bad control board. Let us know what you find.

So how do I test for that?

With the range unplugged and the wires to the element disconnected, you can use a multimeter or ohm meter to do a continuity or ohm test. Touch the two probes from your meter on the wire terminals of the heating element. If your meter has a continuity setting then you will get a beeping noise if the element has continuity and the meter will not make any noise if it is bad. If you are doing an ohm test you will need to set the meter to the lowest ohm setting (the one with the horseshoe symbol), and you should get an ohm reading of 5-20 ohms if the element is good. The video below shows how to test a dryer heating element which is almost the same process as testing an oven heating element.

It sounds like the main control board is most likely bad. If the other elements and burners are working okay, and there are no burned or broken wires then the main control board is most likely not sending power to the bake element.

This the main control board and overlay for your model stove. The overlay is not included with the new control board, so you will either need to carefully peal the old overlay off and stick it onto the new control board, or purchase a new overlay.

    Clock Overlay (Black) - Part # PD00004985 (mfg # 316419700)
