    Frigidaire Oven

    Model Number: Gallery Series
    Brand: Other
    Age: 6-10 years

I preheated my oven and after 20 minutes I heard a pop and now both heating elements are not working in the oven. The top burners still work. Is there any suggestions for this problem before I have to buy a whole new oven?

Usually a popping noise is something on control board that went bad. If you can get me the model number from the tag on the stove, I can look up the control board for you. The model number tag is usually located behind the bottom storage drawer on the oven frame.

GLEF378CBE. I did check both heating elements with a volt meter and the thermal sensor as well. All came out good.

With the stove unplugged, it is also a good idea to look on the back of the stove for any burned or broken wires. If that checks out okay, then I would replace the control board. The new control board does not include the overlay, you will either need to carefully peel off and reuse the old one or purchase a new one. Let us know how the repair goes for you.

These are the parts for your stove:

    Control Board - Part # PD00000380 (mfg # 316207529)

    Touchpad Overlay (Black) - Part # PD00000530 (mfg # 316220805)
