Thread: Samsung refrigerator temperature sensor replacement

Post Samsung refrigerator temperature sensor replacement

    Model Number:
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello..
I'm trying to repair my friend's refrigerator. It displays error code "LL" on the front panel, which is described in service manual as "Left chamber sensor error". It has two chambers, left and right. I checked the sensor with multimeter, and it's definitely bad because the resistance was almost 0 ohm. The right chamber sensor's resistance was 7.1 Kohm, which is normal.

The problem is, the service manual doesn't show any part number of the sensor. It only states that the sensor spec is "25 deg C / 5Kohm". I was able to locate other sensors that I could purchase on the Internet, but I'm not sure if they would work properly in this refrigerator. Maybe Samsung's refrigerators are all using the similar temperature sensor, I guess. Is there any way to determine the spec, part number, or any clue of this issue?

    Thanks..

I will need the full model number from the tag on the inside of the refrigerator to look up the correct sensor for you.

The parts breakdown diagram does not show the sensors in the diagram. I was able to find two sensors listed for your model, but they don't say which side either sensor is for.

Part number DK32-00007B & DK32-00007C. We can get both of these parts, but we do not currently stock them. Also, the DK32-00007C is on a national backorder from Samsung.

I will wait until the part DK32-00007B is available. Could you inform me as soon as it's stocked, or do I need to come back check some time later?
