Need Help in accessing the Adaptive Defrost Control Board on our Maytag refrigerator

    Model Number: MBG 2255KEB
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 1-5 years

We need to replace the Adaptive Defrost Control Board on our Maytag refrigerator. I've seen the instructions on this site.....but I am still having a problem. Once I remove the clear light lens, I cannot seem to find the spot to insert a "flat blade screwdriver" in order to remove the housing....to get access to the control board area. Maybe I'm being a little too cautious.........don't want to break anything! : ) I would appreciate any help! Thank you!!

I can't get your model number to pull up? Could you double check it for me?

Thank you. Did you read through this guide on our website yet? http://www.partsdr.com/Repair-Help/1...nt-Info-50.cfm

The two tabs that you have to press in are in the picture (they do not press in very easily):

THanks for replying. Yes I did review the guide. You said they don't press in easily.....that's where my concern was. The guide recommended using a flathead screwdriver. Would the screwdriver be inserted horizontally or vertically to release the tab? My fear is that I will break something. : [
