Maytag dishwasher won't start

Hi, the lights went out on the control panel (some are usually always on). I tried a diagnostic code that just opened the detergent door and made noises for a few minutes but nothing else happened. Please advise and thanks in advance!

Behind the bottom panel of the dishwasher is a Tech Sheet that has a troubleshooting guide with things to check. Before the control panel lights went out, was everything working properly?

Hi Doc Ryan,

Excuse my novice question but when you say bottom panel are you referring to under the dishwasher? Where is this bottom panel? And yes, all was working fine before.

I just ran a diagnostic code "Heated Dry---Normal---Heated Dry---Normal" and it's running now. I'm not sure if this fixes anything, what are your thoughts? Also, I opened up the control panel and there isn't any corrosion/rust or disconnected wires.

Underneath the door is a cover that is held on by 2 or 4 screws that covers the bottom 6" or so of the dishwasher. This cover goes all the way down to the floor. Pressing the buttons that you did probably reset an error code that let the dishwasher run. You will need run the dishwasher until that error code reappears before you can diagnose what the error code is and what the problem is.
