Is the light on/off switch one of the buttons on the control board?

No. It is a manual toggle type switch in the upper
left corner (viewed from the front) of the range and is separate from the center "Electronic Oven Control with Kitchen Timer" that has the digital
    display

Have any parts been replaced on the stove? Does it work ok until you turn the light on?

No parts have been replaced. It isn't always just the light problem. There have been times when the oven has been turned on and the temperature set

and that causes the degital display to go blank and not function.

It sounds like you might have a bad control board. I don't have a copy of the schematic for you range, but the light switch circuit is not normally wired into the control board... so they are not usually related. You could take a look at the schematic, or post it up for me to take a look at.

It is usually in a plastic sleeve on the back of the range.

I found the Service Data Sheet on the rear of the range. While I had it out from the wall and power shut off, I unscrewed the back cover and assured that
all connections were tightly seated. I then repowered it and reran the actions that had caused the previous problems. It functioned OK. We wil see. Thanks for your help. It the problems repeat, I'll be back to try to find a remedy.

Hopefully that took care of the problem. If not, let us know!
