[FIXED] Dryer Flashes F-01 code wont turn on.

I have a Whirlpool Duet Dryer Model # WED8500SRO. It is flashing F01 code . I have read it is the control unit could anyone tell me the part number

I put the new part in and Im still getting the F01 code. When I was checking everything out I found the belt that turns the drum was broke. Could that cause this code.

It would be worth looking into. There is a broken belt switch on this dryer that stops the motor from running if the belt breaks. According to the manufactures information on the F01 error code on this dryer, it only lists the control board being bad as a cause of this error code.

I have a belt coming . if that doesnt fix it then Ill assume I got a bad part. Ill let you know.

Replaced the belt and the dryer works fine. So to let everyone know if you get the F01 code check the belt before you replace the main control board. After I changed the belt I put the old control board in and there arent any problems.
