    Samsung DV431AEP - won't turn off

    Model Number: DV431AEP
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello Everyone,

I have a Samsung Dryer that is 2 years old. It started acting weird the other day where we would start it and it would sound like it would start and then just stop, then the next
push everything would run normal. We ran a load the other night and the display turned off when it finished yet the dryer keeps turning and won't turn off. I have unplugged, check
the panel fuses etc. and yet when I close the door the dryer continues to spin and there is no way to stop it until I open the door.

Any suggestions? I am thinking its the main control board, but wanted an opinion before I order a part.

    Thanks for your time.

I looked at the wiring diagram for your dryer and it looks to me like the only thing that could be causing this problem would be if the main control board is bad. The manufacture is listing two different part numbers for the main control board for your dryer so you will need to take a look at the sticker on the old control board to see which one is the correct one to order. If you are looking at the front of the control board there is a white sticker with the part number DC92-00322 and the last digit will vary depending on which one is used on your dryer.

These are the two control boards listed for your model dryer:

    Main Control Board - Part # PD00006983 (mfg # DC92-00322F)

    Main Control Board - Part # PD00007129 (mfg # DC92-00322M)

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for the feedback.

The control board shows DC92-00774E. Do you know if you carry these?

I think you are looking at the wrong control board. The part number you provided is for the user interface control board on the front top of the dryer. The main control board is located inside the dryer.
