[FIXED] Electric range: everything works except bake function

    Model Number: ES300
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

Frigidaire ES300 (model no. FEF366ECD): stovetop works, display works, broil works (although it seems slower to heat/glow red than previously), but when I try to use the "bake" function, neither top nor bottom element will heat up.

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

Your problem could be caused by a bad bake element, bad control board, or a break in the wiring. First, unplug the range and remove the back panel(s). Using a multimeter you can test the bake element for continuity. If the bake element is good then you can look for any burned or broken wires on the back. If all of the wiring looks okay then you most likely have a bad control board. Let us know what you find.

This is the control board and bake element for your model stove. The overlay does not come with the control board and will need to be reused from your old one, or you will need to order a new one.

    Bake Element - Part # PD00000107 (mfg # 316075104)

    Control Board - Part # PD00000382 (mfg # 316557115)

    Clock Overlay (Black) - Part # PD00000656 (mfg # 316419103)

I am having the same problem. I replaced the clock/control board with no luck. When I tried it again, all I got was a click when I pressed the bake button after setting the temperature , and then a second click like it had reached that temperature and then shit off. I do not want to buy a new one since I spent this money already

Awesome! I am glad it was the cheaper of the two things that fixed the problem! I have updated the status of this thread to FIXED.
