Post Are the Whirlpool Dryers the same from Dealer to Big Store like Lowes

    Model Number: NONE
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: Less than 1 year

I am looking at buying a New Dryer and would like to know if you buy from Dealer compared buying from BIG STORE'S like LOWE"S or HOME DEPOT?
Do they put cheaper parts on the ones at the BIG STORE'S than from a DEALER.

You would think that the DEALER'S would get the best Dryer's over the BIG STORE'S.

Need some very good advise. All I need is just a plain Jane dryer one that has a buzzer on it.

Lowes and Home Depot will often get special models made for them specially that way you cannot price shop them on the same model if you go to another store. If you are comparing similar models and features, the quality of the parts is not any different from a big box store or a local appliance dealer.

So you would be better to go to the Big Stores than to a Dealer?

Perhaps I should ask which out weighs the other?

If you was to buy a NEW DRYER today which brand would you be looking at and why?

Do you really need all the bells and whistles on a dryer?

Why I am asking these questions is because my MAYTAG dryer's motor went out and I was going to fix it since it was still a MAYTAG, but the repair man started to unhook the wires and they started to brake and they were brutal. He told me that it would need a whole wire harness.

It depends on your area, in most cases I personally prefer to deal with local dealers because I think you get better service from them.

I would buy a Whirlpool or Maytag dryer.

No one NEEDS all the bells and whistles but they are nice to have
