Post Oven will not work on Frigidaire Gallery Model

    Model Number: FGEF3032KBE
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello,

The oven on my Frigidaire oven is not working properly. The cooktop burners all work, and the broiler setting works as well, but the bake and quick bake settings are not working. All the lights on the control panel are functioning. The fan on the quick bake setting works. I'm thinking it's the control board based on other posts I've read here, but I thought I'd submit my question anyway to see what else I might need to check. Thanks!

    Regards,

    TSTRINES

The control board could be causing your problem. First, you will need to unplug the stove, remove the bottom panel inside the oven and do a continuity test on the bake element with a multi meter. If the element is good and there are no breaks in the wires, then the control board is bad. Let us know what you find.

These are the parts for your stove. The overlay can sometimes be reused if you carefully peel it off and reuse it on the new control board.

I found the problem. On the wiring harness for the oven and broiler heating elements (with the yellow, blue, black, orange, and red wires), there was a short where the yellow wire connects into the control board. The plastic connector was actually burned and melted around the lead on the yellow wire. I pulled out the connector in the circuit board when I pulled the wiring harness from the board, so I'll definitely need a new control board. I think I'll need the wiring harness as well now since I don't think I want to trust a spliced replacement connection. Thanks,

    Regards

I am glad you found the problem. The wiring harness for this stove is not cheap!

This is the main wiring harness for your stove:
