    Not Keeping the Temp

    Model Number: 6lhs67ehb6
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 1-5 years

Have side by side that is not only flashing the "4" but not keeping temp in freezer or fridge side. Inside temp says the freezer is at 4 degrees and fridge at 37, but, put a thermometer in there and the temps are at 30 and 40! We did try to keep the damper open, to see if that was the problem, but the temp is still dropping. I am at a loss.

I think the first digit in your model number is supposed to be a "G" instead of a 6 (GLHS67EHB6). The number 4 flashing on the digital display usually indicates that the refrigerator failed the damper test on start up. It can be caused by a bad damper or a bad control board. If I remember correctly, when that error code comes up, the refrigerator will stop cooling all together until the error code is corrected. Let us know what you find.

This is what the manufacturer suggests:

Check wiring between damper and Main Control Board. If correct, replace damper. If problem still exist, replace Main Control Board.

This is the damper & control board for your refrigerator:

    Damper Control Assembly - Part # PD00000313 (mfg # 241600905)

    Pur-Beta Control Board - Part # PD00000885 (mfg # 241739709)
