    Samsung WF306 main board

    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 6-10 years

    My house was recently struck by lightening, the washer was one of the appliances that went out after the strike.
    All of the controls seem to work except when the washer attempts to spin it only rotates ~1/4 turn then reserves and gives E3 error.
    I have taken the washer apart and there is no obvious damage to the motor. The main power board is melted in a few areas.
    I assume that the main power board needs to be replaced, but is there a way to test downstream if anything else is a problem before replacing the board?

    I would start by replacing the main control board since it is melted and looks damaged. There could be another problem but you will not be able to test for it until this part has been replaced. Let us know what you find.
