    Unhappy GE Quietpower 3 not filling long enough

    Brand: GE
    Age: 6-10 years

    Our GE dishwasher does not fill enough. The water inlet valve closes before enough water is in the tub for it to clean effectively. If I add 2 quarts of hot water to each cycle, it works fine. But without that, there is not enough water in the tub to make all the sprayer arms spin. Is there a way to adjust the time on the fill valve so that it can fill longer. I have replaced the supply line, and have cleaned all the grit out of the screen in the water inlet valve. Water pressure is good, but it only fills for about 30 seconds before closing the valve. Suggestions?

    There is no adjustment to the fill time on this dishwasher. If the water supply pressure to the dishwasher is good, then I would start by replacing the water inlet valve. Even when the screen on the valve is clean the water valve can still be bad and restricting the flow of water. Let us know what you find.
