2009 Samsung RSG 257 ice maker not dispensing ice

Just installed Samsung DA97-07549B ice maker. Hit reset button to cycle it, it filled with water but wouldn't dispense the ice after 3 hours. I noticed the lever underneath the ice make is all the way up. I thought it was suppose to be in the down position until it filled up with ice. Is the lever shutting off the ice maker?

Give the new ice maker time to cool down to below 10F for it to start making ice. I am not sure if the ice maker arm is supposed to be up or down on particular ice maker when it is making ice.

The arm is suppose to be down. If I shut off the power and turn it back on, the ice maker will do it's cycle. That's the only way I can get ice

I replaced this ice maker as heated tray had failed. Ice maker off icon continues to flash and resetting will produce 1 batch of ice, icon still flashing. Do I also have a failed circuit board?

Have you checked the owners manual to see what it says about the ice maker icon flashing?

Yes I checked that and no, nothing in the manual. The larger problem is the ice maker functions but a reset will make one batch of ice. It won't resume normal operation.
