whirlpool cabrio platinum displays uL after replacement of rod suspension

    Model Number: wtw8200yw0
    Brand: Whirlpool
    Age: 1-5 years

We bought a washer used thinking all we had to do was balance it. So we replaced the suspension rods. Even after the repair, running empty it displays the uL code and on the last spin cycle it flashes uL code and we stop it and restart but we can never get it to the end. It also has a squeak. We turned it over and there seems to be grease streaks on the under side that seem to come from the smaller 10 holes toward the central shaft on the very bottom. Picture attached. (1000 words as they say) Thanks

Your problem is caused by failed tub bearings and seal. To fix this problem you can replace the bearings and seal if they will remove from the tub okay. In some cases when the bearings and seal have been bad for this long they can corrode in place and be difficult to remove and if that is the case then you may have to replace the entire outer tub assembly which includes the bearings and seal pre-installed. Let us know how the repair goes for you.

These are the parts for your model washer:

    Tub Bearing Shaft & Seal Kit - Part # PD00002260 (mfg # W10435302)

    Tub Press Tool Kit - Part # PD00004958 (mfg # W10447783)

    Outer Tub Assembly - Part # PD00006288 (mfg # W10381078)
