[FIXED] Please Help! "Communication Error" on Samsung Dishwasher

    Model Number: DMT400RHSXAA
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello all,

Really hoping someone can help me diagnose my current problem on my Samsung dishwasher...So a couple days ago my washer started blinking all Four blue LED lights on top and my manual says that means it has a functional issue and is a Communication Error. I am assuming that means between the main board and the touch button pad on top...

Any advice on where to start looking? I was going to pull off the main Control Box on the bottom and see if anything looks out of place/re-connect to try and see if that helps. Have already tried Canceling cycle/killing main power to the unit with no change. It will attempt to pump for a minute or two with the door open or closed while flashing all four blue led's on top after power is restored.....

    any help is much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    macdaddy

This can be caused by a bad touchpad control panel, bad control board, or a wiring/connection problem. The manufacture does not have a test procedure, so we recommend to start by replacing the touchpad since it has a higher failure rate than the control board.

These are the parts for your dishwasher:

    Touchpad Control Panel - Part # PD00025642 (mfg # DD97-00104C)

    Main Control Board - Part # PD00008253 (mfg # DE92-02256C)

Thanks a lot for the response!! I will definitely support your forum here and post back with an update after I try replacing the touchpad control panel...It is unresponsive except for the blinking lights, so I am hoping that this will fix the communication issue...Thanks again!
