Hello
My Hi limit thermal fuse blew 9 months ago. I replaced only it and everything worked fine until we just moved into a new house a couple weeks ago. The first time we used the dryer at our new place we noticed it didn't dry the clothes. The hi limit thermal fuse was blown again but everything else on the heater box seemed fine. Got a replacement and installed only the new hi limit thermal fuse. I checked the dryer for a minute and it was heating again like normal. I put in a full load but it didn't make it through that first load before it blew that one as well.
Troubleshooting:
- Hi limit Tstat has continuity
- Heating element has continuity, reads around 10 Ohms, and doesn't appear to be shorted to either terminal or having any physical abnormalities that would make it short/fail.
- Blower thermal fuse has continuity as does the thermistor.
- There doesn't appear to be any lint clogs within the dryer or the first few feet of the venting that i have access to.
Would someone advise me what my next steps in trouble shooting would be?
Thanks so much!
